TOTS
Tot (Ages 3-5)
Designed for kids under six to build confidence while learning to skate incorporating fun and games making class time an enjoyable experience for all.
Hockey Tot (Ages 3-6)
Develop preliminary coordination and strength to maneuver on the ice. Basic foundation of skating and edge work will be taught in this class. No sticks or pucks will be used. Hockey helmet is required.
Youth starter
Ages 6 and above
Skaters learn the fundamental skills of skating forward, balancing, backward skating, and stops.
BASIC SKILLS
Basic 1-6
The “basic skills” are the fundamentals of the sport. These six levels of the program introduce the fundamental moves: forward skating, backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, turns and Mohawks. Upon completion of the Basic 1-6 levels, skaters will have a basic knowledge of the sport, enabling them to advance to more specialized areas of skating.
Beginning Basic Hockey (Ages 7-12)
Develop preliminary coordination and strength to maneuver on the ice. Basic foundation of skating and edge work will be taught in this class. No sticks or pucks will be used. Hockey helmet is required.
BASIC SKILLS SPECIALTY CLASSES
These classes take your skating to the next level and will contribute to the training of the complete figure skater.
Basic Artistry in Motion
Skaters will learn the basic principles and philosophy of choreography and style. This class will give them a foundation in basic body alignment, movement and line.
All Levels Specialty CLASSES
Ballet for Skaters
Classes that teach ballet that is useful for skaters to enhance their artistic and graceful ability on the ice while maintaining power and athleticism.
Beginning Ballet
Advanced Ballet
Off Ice for Skaters (Freeskate 1 and above)
Strength and Conditioning along with beginning off ice jumps. Levels Basic 1- Pre Preliminary
PRE FREESKATE & FREESKATE 1-6
The Free Skate levels are designed to give skaters a strong foundation on which to build their skills. This is the point where the skater can choose whether to pursue a recreational or competitive approach to the sport of figure skating.
FREESKATE SPECIALTY CLASSES
Freeskate Edge Class
Skaters will learn to use deep edges and turns while skating in precision with each other in an effortless manner.
Beginning Spins Class
Learning the basic fundamentals of spinning and balance in the upright and other positions.
Intermediate Spins Class
Learning more technical spinning skills including spins in the upright, sit and camel positions.
Advanced Spins Class
Learning flying and combination spins in all positions.
Freeskate Power Skating
Skaters will utilize posture, body alignment, and proper skating technique while building speed & endurance.
ADULT SKATING
The Adult curriculum is designed for the beginner adult skater. It will promote physical fitness and improve balance and coordination while teaching proper skating techniques. Adult skaters will progress at an individual rate while being challenged and motivated. This is an exciting new program for people who look to skating as an enjoyable part of a fit and healthy lifestyle.
Coffee Club
Special Class just for Adults 18 years and older. This is a 30 min lesson on the public session. Adults will work at their own pace and also receive unlimited AM public sessions all month.
